Dedans – bound to dance

In the Beninese society, professional dancers are regarded as outlaws. For Franklin, dancing is an ongoing battle to prove himself to his father, who was also a dancer. For Sophiatou, who is illiterate, it is the best way to express herself. The price they pay for following their dreams is an ongoing struggle against prejudices.

Written and directed by Anne van Campenhout and Elsbeth Fraanje. Edited by Anne van Campenhout. Broadcasted by TV5 Monde.
